Art or Abuse? X-rated expo lands culture in court
Two Moscow art curators have been found guilty of inciting religious hatred, after an exhibition which prosecutors described as ‘insulting human dignity’. The show, called ‘Forbidden Art’, included an explosive mix of works – some of which were banned from previous public displays.

So what if it is you don’t like don’t go to the art exhibit. Just cause it offends them doesn’t mean they have the right to make it illegal for everybody else to view it.

Religion seems to control everything peopleare, why not how they express themselves also. Just watch, oneday anything immoral and inconsistant in church values will be banned from any form of media. No messages will be spread publicly while they drip roots into peoples mindsets.

Organized religion has always been very dogmatic and domineering. The Holy Roman Empire attests to this. The Roman Catholic Church has a history of persecution and war, and is in no position to complain when it feels persecuted. If any anti-religious art or rhetoric is offensive to those who believe, then it is their belief that is in question, not the freedom of expression. Just study the history of Pope Alexander Borgia, the Inquisition, the Conquistadors, or the Crusades to know the truth

It is ridiculous to censor Art… however so-called ‘art’ has degenerated over the last 30-40 years. Ever since a pile of bricks was called ‘art’ in the 60′s basically artists have been finding more & more ridiculous things to call ‘art’. Gone are the days when skills with paint or clay were used to depict the beauty of the world around us. Nowadays its a ‘money-making-scam’ with a rush to see who can call the most ‘ugly’ thing ‘art’

You cant display images of Mohammad or muslims will be offended, this is the same thing Christians want to do prevent people from expressing any sensible objection to their fantasy. How very similar are these mindsets.

@DruidAnthony Agreed, STOP SAVING MY SOUL!!!!!!!!! Its my soul I will do what I want with it. Moral laws like those against Gays, Abortion, Porn, Adultery, Prostitution, etc. have no place in our courts. The ONLY time laws are needed are when we HARM another person, property or their rights and freedoms. ALL other laws are BUNK and in place to imprison us and used as a TAX on freedom.

This doesn’t incite hatred. If someone likes a religion, pictures aren’t gonna make them hate it. If someone dislikes a religion, this wont make them dislike it anymore.
